Sorry to hear about your diagnosis and our prayers are with you and your family.
But as suggested by IV members, please do consider a visit to india and take second opinion from the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, its one of the best cancer treament centre in the world.
US Healthcare system is for Profit, some medical facilities in US are exception, but if you see the overall Healthcare system it sucks and its all driven by insurance and big Pharmaceutical companies.
Please send me the private e-mail if you need any help in Mumbai to reach good doctor in Tata Memorial Hospital.

Get on with sweet talks with him, do whatever he tells u to do (like sign a contract, pay ur GC cost etc). After filing u have an option to change the employer after 6 months and then no employment bond works. He will just ask for money when ur leaving him and if he doesnt give ur salary, talk to him polietly and mention the words 'Dept of Labor' in your conversation.
BTW, I got my wife salary from her employer and one of my friend was also 'bonded' ..got rid of his employer too ...using those words.
My employer is desi consultant too and is very good in such matters, quite helpful. I would recommend him to anyone. Most desi consultants are blood suckers but not all.

People spending time on this thread, why not spend 5 minutes to print and sign a letter, then spend 82c and mail one copy each to USCIS and IV.
Do you not like the idea of 3 year long EAD's and more job portability which will come from a revised definition of "same or similar" job description??

Hey mine is EB3 March 2003. I am expecting some good news IN 2009 summer. If I get it before that I think it is a miracle looking at the USCIS activity.

Now you are going to protest porting..do u have a slightest idea of how it is to wait for 10 years in the GC queue. This is not because people were not eligible for EB2 at that time, but rather due to the lawyer and employer mess ups. And there is no wrong in someone going to the front of the queue if they were able to prove that they are eb2 worthy..
"EB-2 India. This category is expected to remain unchanged or to move very slowly forward (by a week or so) in the short-term. This is mainly caused by the fact that many EB-3 India applicants (there are approximately 60,000 EB-3 India pending cases) are �porting� their priority dates into the EB-2 India category and are thus taking visa numbers.
EB2 India is slowwly becoming EB3 as thousands are porting from EB3 to EB2. Some of them are really worthy of EB2 and some of them are fradulent.
EB2 India applicants should wake up from their celebratio of a few months leap and get ready for slow movement or retro.
Guys wake up and fight to make the porting rules veryu strong if not stop porting. The rule should be if I140 for porting is denied then the applicatnt should loose his/her initial EB3 priority date also as he /she has indicated that he/she is no longer working in the position as described in EB3 labor. I will have to check with my attorney. But, my I-140 approval came from TSC but my I-485 application was sent to NSC.

My friend got his receipt numbers from TSC yesterday. We filed on the same day, same attorney, Attorney said his will go to TSC and mine will go to NSC. His receipt numbers start with SRC... if it is NSC it will be LIN.

There is not much use for just fighting EB3-I. You can send a letter or lobbey and they will hear it. Thats all. There are so much discrepancies in immigration policy of USA(The impact is for just for potential immigrants not for the country) I do not think they will spend time to resolve each and every small discrepancy. There are more more severe issues in the country than resolving EB3-I. Of course that is a big issue for those who are impacted.
But the problem will be automatically resolved if STEM/and or Recapture bill is passed. That is a big picture and that will get more attention than just lobbying for EB3-I.

You have still not answered my question - where did you get the idea that I am here self imposing high standards? You have talked about everything else but that. So you have decided to take refuge by not answering the main reason why I said you are making accusations.

Take this scenario.
Under current "mis categorized quota" setup a EB3 takes 6 years to get GC for entire family. take this following scenario.
So the diff
current primary @ebquota - 6 years minimum
current derivative @ebquota - 6 years minimum
correct primary @ebquota - less than 2 years approx ( one person in place of 3)
correct derivative @fbquota - say 7 years.
The diff will be approx 1 year for the derivative ( 7 years – 6 years ) when they are moved from ebquota to fbquota.
again it cannot be more than 7 years ( 2 years primary GC + 5 years primary USC). the primary will get citizenship in 5 years and sponser the wife with in 2 to 3 months. so the diff cannot be more that a year. for derivative.
Remember this point: this is not change of law. this is the correct interpretation of law).
If it is not today some one will bring it up to CIS very soon.
If you are USC and then you are talking abou the FB2. Not for the GC holder. So will have to wait for years.
