You are wrong. How are the pay stubs link to your future GC job. Employment Letter is listed right there on I-485 form as initial evidence.

First up, thanks to everyone for resolving this issue on their own, in a reasonable and civil manner.
In a truly democratic environment, we may want to modify the core IV goals to reflect that (Ideally I would prefer that there be a vote for what should be the core goals...after all most people here have contributed something towards the cause...and only those who have contributed should be allowed to vote...no free lunch).
1. Allow people to file for 485 and get EAD even if visa numbers are not available
2. Allow EAD to be FULLY portable without restrictons (i.e., irrespective of job description or job title or job location or salary).
The above two dont ask for sweeping changes in immigration laws such as increase visa numbers etc. etc. and are easy for the average American person to understand. And so can hopefuly be passed easily.
With the above two passed, I dont think many people will complain if it takes another 5 years to get their GC. Agree?
By the way, I have got my EAD card and my PD is also current. So the above two goals will be redundant for me. My story is that I am stuck in FBI namecheck. But the moderators have already indicated that it cant be one of the core goals. So I would not list that even if I would like that to be one of the core goals.

With democratically selected goals, the IV core team would have the unenviable task of fighting for whatever goals the populace decides is right, without regard to the achievability of the goals. For instance, if the junta votes on goals, many people would say 'Full portability of GC' or 'Automatic clearance of all pending labor cert applications in the BECs'. Those would probably not fly. Our current talking point is that our goals are small changes to the process; we do not skip any steps; and we do not change the process significantly. A full portability to any job changes the process significantly. Even yesterday, Spgtopper met the staff member of a very powerful House member and the staffer was quite positive on our goals - we do not ask for more green cards, we limit our goals to ones that are reasonable.
2. IV goals are not written in stone. Name check is definitely an issue but it is an issue that not many of our people face. If our membership's problems changes from retrogression to name check, then we would have to work on that. It may be smarter to anticipate the magnitude of the problem and start work early. If you would be kind enough to partially lead the effort, that would be great. Logiclife is working on this issue on his own, and WaldenPond is also working on this. Please PM them. Loads of work at the office, moving from one city to another and above all...this frustrating wait --- Its 2 much 2 handle. But I'm with u guyz...I think I shud just STFU N wait.

This is an ultimate test from above on our patience.
I waited for a very long 10+ yrs for my process to complete. Will you beleive that during the first 3 yrs of my application all the categories were current. The very next month when my labor got approved it went to retrogression. Before I got greened 2 weeks back, the dates became current for 3 times. I missed all 3 times. Last one was becuase of idiot lawyer (her firm is one of the largest immigration law firms in the entire country) sat on it and did not provide a required paper work.
After that the wait got extended for another 3 more yrs. finally got it on early part of this month. With the same process I was laid off once. Ported the process out. Then second company tried to ditch me the process. Ran away from their with the process. Got really lucky. From 3rd company I was forced to take a package and leave. Got lucky there too to port the case for a record 3rd time. Filed AC21 with the 4th company. Later filed I 140 again (i don't know why. The lawyer of the cmpany insisted). Got that once also approved.
Spend almost 38,000.00 dollars in all these various processes. After all these waited for almost another 2 yrs again and finally it arrived.....
So each story is different. Each has got its own colors. I have worst situations than mine. Just hang in there buddy. Your turn is round the corner. It is on its way.
I feel much better. These are trying times for sure.

If EB3 and EB2 are equal( unbiased) in eyes of IV, then why sanhari's suggestion is not welcome?
EB2-EB3 discussion is not just unbiased in the eyes of IV, it makes no sense in the real world when it comes to finding solutions to the problem of backlogs. It only exists in this forum.

Get on with sweet talks with him, do whatever he tells u to do (like sign a contract, pay ur GC cost etc). After filing u have an option to change the employer after 6 months and then no employment bond works. He will just ask for money when ur leaving him and if he doesnt give ur salary, talk to him polietly and mention the words 'Dept of Labor' in your conversation.
BTW, I got my wife salary from her employer and one of my friend was also 'bonded' ..got rid of his employer too ...using those words.
My employer is desi consultant too and is very good in such matters, quite helpful. I would recommend him to anyone. Most desi consultants are blood suckers but not all.

Its not a question of blood sucking etc...i know, i was very involved in my company. The real reason for delaying the I-485 process is the company has to really disclose a lot ( i mean a lot) of its financial information about itself to USCIS,( including the latest tax returns) etc..
A lot of small business do not want to do that as they differ their taxes for years. Tax differment is not new ( read about News Corp). These companies do not want to get into these situations.

I guess the employer financial records are applicable only during I-140 stages, "Ability to Pay". But for 485 I do not think it is required for employer to prove that they are financially stable

I thought of going back after getting citizenship, but that would be another 8-9 years at the least. I would miss the big ride in India. I am visiting India this year, if everything works out, I will be heading back, even with all the complaints about India, it still is my country of birth, and there is a saying, "Janani Janma bhoomishya swargadapi gariyasi", translated, Mother and motherland are superior to the Heaven.

What do you mean by "not allow them to work"? Actually AC-21 weaken the case you are mentioning. Since pending/approved I-140 allows extension of H-1 indefinitely, that alone takes your point away.

Even with AC-21, one is restricted to the field in which one originally applied for EB visa. Actually, because it is indefinite, it makes the case stronger that these people are here indefinitely and so should not be restricted in employment oppurtunities. Being for a temporary period, obviously one can be restricted any way, like say people on visitor visa not being allowed to work.
When I was on H-1, that time one couldn't extend beyond 6 years, no matter what. Now, case is much different. There are so many working for the employer just on the basis of I-140 alone after 6 years of H1.

My application was mailed on June 25th to TSC and picked up by TSC IO on June 28th . The new weekly processing update states processing/receipting completed till june 28th. But they still haven't cashed my check or issued any receipt ? When I called the 800 number to ask them regarding my application they first told me to wait for 15 days ,then 45 days and now 90 days. Whats the point of issuing weekly update if USCIS itself is not following it,it is creating more anxiety then doing any good.
I am wondering what if they misplaced/lost my application, will they accept resubmitting a new I485 petition after Aug17th based on Fedex signature conformation receipt signed by an IO, of previously filed petition??:confused:
